Prior to St. Lawrence

Mahoney was a tri-sport athlete in football, hockey, and lacrosse at Hugh C. Williams and a two-sport athlete in hockey and lacrosse at Choate Rosemary Hall for two years. Mahoney captained the hockey and lacrosse teams and was named First-Team All-Northern Selection for lacrosse as a junior. He captained the hockey and lacrosse teams his senior year and was named an All-New England West-1 and All-NEPSAC Class A Honorable Mention in lacrosse. Mahoney also was a member of the National Honor Society, high honor roll, and was on the Dean’s List each semester, while attending Choate Rosemary Hall.
