Prior to St. Lawrence

Minst served as the captain of her softball team, earning Second-Team All-District, District All-Academic, Defensive VMP and All-Tournament Team honors. She also excelled in the classroom as a four-year honor roll student.

She played club softball for McKinney Magic Fastpitch and Vision Fastpitch. She was a team captain, a three-year All-state selection, and a two-time MVP.
