Caroline Young '20, a two-year captain of the St. Lawrence University softball team, has returned to campus as a graduate assistant coach.
Young finished her career as the Saints' record holder for fewest walks per 7 innings pitched, allowing just 1.18.
She ranks in the top-10 in St. Lawrence softball history in six career pitching categories, despite missing her entire senior season due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to her record for walks per 7 innings, she made 48 appearances (seventh), started 30 games (eighth), won 18 games (eighth), pitched 178 innings (10th) and had two shutouts (tied for 10th).Â
Over her sophomore and junior seasons, Young won 17 games and struck out 65 batters with just 22 walks in 170.1 innings pitched.
