Cate Wagner

A former St. Lawrence rider, assistant coach Cate Wagner '01 has played a major role in the success of the St. Lawrence riding program since joining the coaching staff as an assistant following her graduation.

She has helped head coach Mary Drueding return the Saints to an elite position nationally which includes back-to-back national championships in 2012 and 2013, two runner-up finishes as Reserve National Champions during her coaching tenure, and a string of regional high point team finishes which includes eight straight from 2011-18.

She has also played a significant role in the individual success of the Saint riders in region, zone and national competition.

A 2001 graduate of St. Lawrence as a government major, Cate  was a member of the equestrian team and rode on the 2001 National Reserve Championship team. She was the recipient of the Coaches Award and was voted MVP by her teammates.

She teaches lessons in addition to working with the intercollegiate team as an assistant coach.
