Prior to St. Lawrence

Hamilton ran cross country and was a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Acton Boxborough. He was a two-year captain of the track team and captained the cross country team as a senior. He was a First-Team Academic All-State selection and a fixture on his schools honor roll.
