2013-14: Ellis ran the 5000 and 10,000 as a sophomore and was 11th in the 5000 in the Liberty League indoors.

2012-13: Ellis ran the 3000 and mile indoors and competed in the 5000 outdoors in his rookie season.

Ellis was an eight-time all star and a two-year captain in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at the Bromfield School, helping his teams to three league championships. He was a honor roll student.
