2012-13 Men's Swimming and Diving Roster
Biography
2012-13: Jason was the leading point-scorer for the Saint men in his senior season, compiling 200.75 points with six firsts, eight secondsand three thirds. He turned in a PR in the 200 IM with a 2:06.62 clocking against RIT and also competed in the 50 and 100 free, 100 and 200 back and 100 fly. He was a key contributor on relays as well, swimming the fly leg on the medley relays and anchoring the free relays.
2011-12:Â Dutra continued to swim impressively as he earned career best times in
three events during the season. He
placed sixth in the 200 backstroke at Liberty Leagues and then went on to place
12th in his best time of the season at the UNYSCSA Championships. Â Also at States, he helped his 400 free relay
team earn a ninth place finish. The
Glens, Falls, NY native earned a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic team
for his efforts in the classroom.
2010-11: Dutra earned his first conference title with a first place finish in the 100 backstroke at the conference Championships. He also posted an 8th place finish in the same event at the UNYSCSA finals. The Glens Falls, NY native was named to the Liberty League All-Academic team. Â
2009-2010:Â
Jason suffered an
injury at the beginning of his rookie season, but came back to finish off the
year as a successful sprinter and mid-distance swimmer. The Glens Falls, NY native was also a major
point contributor in the relay events.Â
He earned four personal best times in the 50 free, the 100 fly, the 100 back, and the 200 back. At the Liberty League Championships, Jason
placed 7th in the 100 fly, 9th in the 100 back and 17th in the 200 back. He also helped the Saints to a 4th place finish in the 200 medley relay and a 5th place finish in
the 400 free relay. At the UNYSCSA Championships, as he finished 19th
in the 100 fly and 9th in the 100 back. He also helped his team take 9th
in the 200 free relay and 9th in the 200 medley relay. Â Â Â Â
At Glens Falls
Jason was a two-sport athlete, competing in soccer and swimming. He captained his swim team, and holds the school record for the 100 meter back stroke. Jason was also a section II champion.Â
