Prior to St. Lawrence

Midzi attended Peterhouse Boys School in Zimbabwe, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete in squash, cricket, soccer, rugby, field hockey, and track and field... A standout squash player, he earned provincial and national selections at the U14, U16, and U19 levels, captained the squash team for two years, and received Full Colours honors for his achievements in the sport... Midzi also competed at a high level in field hockey, earning U19 provincial and national team selection for two years, serving as vice captain, and receiving Half Colours recognition... Among his many accomplishments, he was named Runner-Up Junior Sportsman of the Year and ranked among the Top 12 players in the Zimbabwe Men's Squash Open. Prior to high school, he represented his province and country in squash, cricket, rugby, and field hockey while attending Ruzawi School, Hartmann House, and St. Michaels...
