2015-16: Set up the first two Saint goals of the season and picked up his third assist of the weekend on the first goal against RIT. Scored his first goal of the year in game two of the Miami series.Had a shorthanded goal and an assist in game two at Penn State. Had a goal and an assist at Colgate for his third two-point night of the season.  Scored his fourth of the year at Harvard. Scored an empty netter to clinch the Colgate win. Missed three of the last five regular season games.

2014-15: Sean had a big season for the Saints as a junior, scoring seven goals and assisting on seven others for 14 points in 33 games. He had a power play goal and a shorthander and had six goals and four assists in ECAC action. He had his first career two-goal game in a win at Brown which started a five-game scoring streak.

2013-14: Sean struggled with injury during his sophomore season, playing in 19 games with a goal and an assist. Scored his goal against Cornell and had the assist at North Dakota.

2012-13: The Saint team Rookie of the Year, Sean played in all 38 games, recording eight assists in 2012-13. He scored his first career point in a 5-2 win at Northeastern and assisted on a pair of game-winning goals including the winner in the RIT game which was the 1000th win in program history. He also had an assist in a 2-1 win at nationally top-ranked Quinnipiac in February.

A teammate of Saint newcomer Alex Hagen on the Surrey Eagles, Sean McGovern scored 19 goals and had 20 assists for 39 points in 59 games last season. A graduate of Taft and the hockey  team MVP in 2011, he also played lacrosse in prep school. The son of Kevin and Elaine McGovern he intends to major in economics. His father played collegiate hockey against the Saints at Concordia in Montreal.
