    Goalkeepers Coach

Chris Custer, a four-year goalkeeper at Lock Haven University, joined the St. Lawrence men’s and women’s soccer staffs as a goalkeepers coach in the fall of 2013. 

In his first season, Custer’s starting goalkeeper for the men’s program, Aaron Costello, tallied a record 16 shutouts and was awarded an All-American honor. Most recently, Custer spent time with the Portland Timbers working alongside Timbers' Goalkeeper Coach Mike Toshack. 
 
Custer comes to St. Lawrence having served as an assistant coach at Widener University in Chester, PA.  Prior to his time with the Pride, Custer spent five years as a head coach with the Soccer Training Network out of central Pennsylvania. 

Custer, who holds a National Diploma from the NSCAA, earned a degree in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven in 2012, as well as his coaching degree in 2011.
