Meghan Nichols (Gibson) was named Assistant Sports Information Director in June of 2017.

A Canton native, Nichols served as the Interim Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations for five months prior to her appointment.

Nichols graduated from SUNY Canton in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Sports Management. During her time as a student at Canton she was the sports information assistant for the athletic department and was a Chancellor's Awards for Excellence recipient. As a senior, she interned with the athletic department at SUNY Cobleskill working on website development and building a social media presence.

Nichols is the sports information contact for football, golf, rowing, women's hockey, riding, Alpine skiing, Nordic Skiing, and lacrosse.

She and her husband Reed reside in Canton with their two boxers, Jax and Holly.
