Prior to St. Lawrence

A dual-sport athlete at West Genesee, McDonald played hockey and lacrosse. He captained the varsity hockey team earning First Team All-State honors, and was a starting attackman his junior and senior years for lacrosse… An honor roll student, was also a member of the National Honor Society.
