Prior to St. Lawrence
Mahoney, who is also a member of the Saints' Division I ice hockey team, spent two years at The Hotchkiss School before coming to St. Lawrence where he was a member of the hockey and lacrosse teams and captained both during his senior year…He was the recipient of the Edward F. III ’41 and Phelps H. Swift ’44 Hockey Award, as well as the James T. Bryan ’11 Athletic Award…Mahoney also garnered First-Team All-New England and All-Founders League honors for lacrosse…While attending Canton Central School he was an All-Northern selection for hockey as a sophomore and an All-Northern selection for both hockey and lacrosse as a junior…He was a member of the National Honor Society and a first honor roll student…Mahoney is the eldest son of current St. Lawrence men’s lacrosse head coach Mike Mahoney.
