Prior to St. Lawrence

Podvey was a dual-sport athlete playing lacrosse and hockey at Montclair High School. He captained both teams and earned All-Fitch Pitt honors in lacrosse and All-State, MVP, and First-Team All-Conference (x2) honors in hockey. Podvey also earned the Essex County-Karen Fuccello Scholar-Athlete award.
