Stefan Sloma

Stefan Sloma

Stefan Sloma has recently been named the new men's lacrosse assistant coach for the 2018 season. 
 
Prior to joining the Saints staff, Sloma served as the assistant coach for the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania. During his three seasons at Scranton, the Royals went 29-21 and made the Landmark Conference playoffs each season, reaching the championship game in 2015.
 
On the field, Sloma was a four-year letterman for the SUNY Potsdam Bears. He earned the title of starting goaltender and captain his senior year. He concluded his career with an 8.9 goals against average, a .588 save percentage and played 762 minutes out of a possible 850. He earned All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Second Team and SUNYAC All-Academic team honors in 2013 and was named the Bears' most valuable player on defense.  
 
In addition, the Niskayuna, New York native served as the volunteer assistant coach at SUNY Potsdam in 2014 and has completed volunteer work with the HEADstrong Foundation and the University of Scranton's Thanksgiving and Easter food drives.
 
Sloma holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in biology from SUNY Potsdam.
