Stefan Basile

Stefan Basile, who was voted the top goalie in the country in 2014 and earned First-Team All-America honors, was hired as an assistant coach with the Men’s Lacrosse team at St. Lawrence University in 2015.

The former Union College goalie was an All-Liberty League selection two consecutive years and received the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award as the USILA Division III Goalie of the Year in 2014.

Additionally, Basile has coached for the past five years with the Fayetteville-Manlius Youth Lacrosse program and was the goalie coach for the Central New York Roadhawks Lacrosse Club in Syracuse.

Basile was the starting goalie for three seasons at Union compiling 33 wins and making 559 career saves. He finished his career with an 8.62 goals against average and a .581 career save percentage. He led the Dutchmen to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances including a tournament quarterfinal appearance in 2014.
