Prior to St. Lawrence

A native of Summit, New Jersey, Mallgrave played his prep school hockey at Kent School, where he served as team captain during his final season there and was a key contributor on defense playing in 82 games… Standing at 6’3”, the left-shot brings a strong physical presence to the blue line…Mallgrave played just one season in juniors, skating with the Waterloo Black Hawks this past season… The blueliner played in 60 games with the Black Hawks scoring nine times and tallying three assists…Academically, Mallgrave was named to the Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom.
