Biography

2019-20: A fifth-year player for the Saints, Laidley served as a captain in 2019-20 and finished with three assists in 28 games played…Two of his three assists came against Harvard, including one on Senior Night at Appleton Arena in the Saints’ 6-3 win on February 22.

2018-19: After missing a majority of the last two seasons with injury, Laidley played in 33 of the Saints’ 37 games as a senior, finishing with nine points on two goals and seven assists…He had a career-high three assists in the Saints’ 4-3 overtime win at Minnesota on Nov. 16…He served as an assistant captain for the Saints and was a member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

2017-18: Laidley missed the first half of the season while recovering from injury, but returned to the Saints' lineup on January 12 at RPI...He scored his first of three goals on the year the following night at Union and finished with three goals in 17 games played...An assistant captain for the Saints, the was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

2016-17: Laidley played in six games and recorded five points on two goals and three assists before missing the remainder of the season with an injury.

2015-16: Laidley played in 31 games in his rookie season and had six goals and five assists for 11 points...He scored a goal in his first collegiate game against Niagara and earned his first collegiate assist the next night on the game winner against RIT...He also assisted on the game winner at home against Clarkson...Scored two in an overtime 4-3 upset of top-ranked Quinnipiac at home.

Prior to St. Lawrence 
Laidley scored 10 goals and had 15 assists in 46 games for the Aurora Tigers a year ago and had a two season total of 33 goals and 26 assists at Aurora...He had 21 power play points and nine career game winners...The son of Shane and Beryl Laidley, he played for the Canadian Central Regional Midget AAA Gold Medalists in 2012 and was a President's Cup Winner in the CJHL with Team East in 2013...He was awarded the OHA Top Prospect Award in 2015 and was an Ontario Scholar throughout high school.
