2019-20 Season

Mahoney played in 14 games for the Saints as a sophomore and was selected by the Friends of St. Lawrence Hockey as the Dr. James S. Street 7^th Player Award winner.

2018-19 Season

Mahoney appeared in 11 games on defense for the Saints in his rookie season and finished with one shot on goal and four penalty minutes…He was also named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Prior to St. Lawrence

Mahoney spent two years at The Hotchkiss School before coming to St. Lawrence where he was a member of the hockey and lacrosse teams and captained both during his senior year…He was the recipient of the Edward F. III ’41 and Phelps H. Swift ’44 Hockey Award, as well as the James T. Bryan ’11 Athletic Award…Mahoney also garnered First-Team All-New England and All-Founders League honors for lacrosse…While attending Canton Central School he was an All-Northern selection for hockey as a sophomore and an All-Northern selection for both hockey and lacrosse as a junior…He was a member of the National Honor Society and a first honor roll student…Mahoney is the eldest son of current St. Lawrence men’s lacrosse head coach Mike Mahoney.
