2015-16: Kyle did not see game action as a senior.

2014-15: Kyle did not see game action in his junior year.

2013-14: Kyle played in four games for the Saints as a sophomore and had an 0-2-0 record. He stopped 50 of 58 shots, compiling a 3.90 goals against average with a .862 save percentage. He made his first career start against Vermont at home and allowed four goals  on 34 shots.

2012-13: Kyle MacDonald played in three games in a backup role as a rookie and will push for more playing time in his sophomore season. He had a 4.45 goals againstt average in 40:13 of ice time and had a .769 save percentage. He made his debut in the second period against Vermont, allowing a goal on ten  shots and also saw action in a game at RPI and against Yale in the quarterfinals.

The Boston Herald Goalie of the Year and a three-time Catholic Conference All Star while playing at Xaverian Brothers High School, Kyle MacDonald also played junior hockey for the Bay State Breakers in the EJHL. While he was limited to five games by injury last season, compiling a 2.59 goals against average and a .919 save percentage, he had a 2.63 goals against average, a .927 save percentage and went 10-7-1 in 20 games in 2010-11 for the Breakers. He led his high school team to three Super 8 appearances, the first in school history, was was captain of the Eastern Massachusetts champion baseball team as a senior. He is the son of Andy and Mary Beth MacDonald.
