2011-12: Became the first junior since TJ Trevelyan to reach the 100 point plateau with an assist in the final game of the season. Missed eight games due to injury at mid-season. Was MVP of the Ledyard Tournament and ECAC Player of the Week upon his return, scoring three goals and assisting on three others in the touranment. He was among the league leaders in points per game overall with  14 goals and a team-high 23 assists for 37 points in 28 games. He had nine power play goals, a shorthander and two game winners. He scored the game winner and only goal of the game in overtime at Quinnipiac and had the game winner agaisnt Quinnipiac at home. He assisted on the game winners in the RPI, Yale overtime and Colgate games.

2010-11: Named co-Most Valuable Player for the Saints as a sophomore Kyle Flanagan will be a Saint captain for the 2011-12 season, becoming just the second Canton native to captain the Saints. His brother Sean was assistant captain in 2010-11 and uncle Paul, now head women's coach at Syracuse, was assistant captain in 1979-80. Kyle Flanagan was the second leading scorer for the Saints as a sophomore with 12 goals and 23 assists. He had seven power play goals and two game winners, one in a 3-0 win over Cornell and the other in a 4-0 win at Colgate.He scored in 24 of 39 appearances and had eight multi-point games. He earned ECAC Player of the Week honors after a three-goal, one-assist weekend in a home sweep of Cornell and Colgate.

2009-10: One of the outstanding rookies in the ECAC in his first  year in a Saint uniform, Kyle Flanagan missed 11 games due to injury, but still finished third among all Saint scorers with 28 points and was fourth among all ECAC rookies in scoring. He scored his first collegiate goal in a 5-2 win over Army and had his first multi point game with a two-goal, two-assist night against Niagara in a 4-3 win. He had eight multi-point games.

The younger brother of Saint senior Sean Flanagan, Kyle Flanagan had an outstanding high school athletic career at Canton High School and was a USHL All Star Game MVP while playing for Cedar Rapids.  

Kyle scored 17 goals and had 38 assists for 57 points in his final season at Cedar Rapids. He led his high school team to a Section X Championship and a New York State final four appearance. He was a first team All Northern selection as a sophomore and junior and co-MVP as a junior. He also played lacrosse, football and soccer and was a three-time All Northern in lacrosse. He also earned All America honors as a sophomore and senior in lacrosse and was MVP as a junior and senior.
