Prior to St. Lawrence

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kopecký played hockey at South Kent School, where he served as an assistant captain and developed as a strong left-shooting forward… Originally from Nova Dubnica, Slovakia, Kopecký brings international perspective and skill to the Saints…After his time with the Slovakia U18 squad, he began his junior career with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL Where he played in 34 games in 2022-23 scoring once and assisting on three goals… Kopecký then moved to Bismarck to play for the Bobcats in the NAHL where he played in 93 games in two seasons putting up 20 goals and 18 assists… His passion for the game runs in the family as his father, Tomáš played in the NHL from 2005-2015 winning the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings in 2008 and the Blackhawks in 2010.
