2023-24 Season
Gavars played in all 39 games during his breakout sophomore season in which he posted career-highs with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points... The Latvia native was the first Saint since Mike Marnell '18 to score more than ten goals in a season... He was also the second forward in the last five seasons to record over 20 points along with Zach Risteau, who had 23 points in 2019-20.
2022-23 Season
Gavars played in all 36 games during his rookie campaign and tallied three goals and nine assists for 12 points... The forward scored his first career goal in January against Dartmouth.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Gavars, a native of Riga, Latvia, spent last season with the Fargo Force of the USHL…The first-year played 52 games for the Force scoring 12 goals and recording 11 assists for 23 points…Gavars was selected to compete in the World Junior Championships in August for his home country of Latvia, where he played in five games…Prior to his time in Fargo, Gavars was captain of the U18 Select Academy Team where he scored 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points as team captain.
