Scott Dexter

Scott Dexter is in his second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Saint men’s program.

A 1992 graduate of Hamilton College, the Ottawa native played for and coached with the Continentals’ long time coach Phil Grady. Dexter had been coaching minor hockey at various levels from novice to junior for over 20 years and has worked at a multitude of hockey schools and clinics focusing on skill development.

He began his playing career at SUNY Canton where he helped the Northmen win a national championship in 1989 under legendary coach Terry Martin. That same season he led the nation in goal scoring and was first-team All America, first-team All Tournament and Academic All America. He transferred to Hamilton following graduation from Canton and played 46 games for the Continentals compiling 63 points on 32 goals and 31 assists.
