An outstanding defenseman for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL, RJ played for the gold medalist team USA in the Five Nations Tournament and also in the Ivan Hlinka Cup...He earned a CISAA Championship with the Nichols School were he was on the All-Tournament teams at Northwood and St. Francis...He also played football and baseball at Nichols...He is the son of Rich and Julie Gicewicz.
