Mike Elberty has been named the Stradling Strength and Conditioning Coach for men's ice hockey after serving as an assistant coach for one season and  three years in a volunteer assistant capacity where he was involved in a variety of hockey duties with a focus on strength and conditioning.

He has also worked as the GM/Coach of the 1000 Islands privateers a single A professional team in the Federal Hockey League.

Prior to returning to Canton in 2008 he trained professional and division 1 hockey players in Rochester N.Y. developing specific on ice skill systems and dryland training and performance programs. Coaching experience dates back to the 1980s when he started coaching at the High School and Prep School levels.
