Salvail joined the St. Lawrence staff as a volunteer assistant goaltenders coach prior to the start of the 2018-19 season. He has over 15 years of experience as a goaltending coach, having worked for more than 10 years alongside renowned goaltender coach François Allaire. He has had the chance to train goaltenders of all ages across Canada, the United States and Europe and in March 2015 he started his own company, Kinetic Goalie.Â
A 2012 graduate of Québec à Trois-Rivières, Salvail is a kinesiologist and physical trainer. Prior to returning to Canada, he was responsible for the development of more than 15 goalies at the Redbull Academy in Salzburg, Austria.
