Biography

2016-17: Masella tallied nine points on one goal and seven assists in 37 games played as a senior, scoring against Cornell on the final weekend of the regular season…He finished third on the team in blocked shots with 36.

2015-16: Earned his first point of the season as he assisted on the game winner against Niagara...Set up the game winner against Clarkson and had two assists in the Princeton game...Scored his first goal of the season in game two against Northeastern. Assisted on the first Saints goal against Colgate...Had career highs for assists and points.

2014-15: Masella played in 16 games for the Saints as a sophomore and scored two goals with four assists...He finished plus-three on the season and had two assists in six ECAC games...He scored his first collegiate goal as part of a two-goal, one assist night in the win at Niagara in game two of the season...He assisted on the game winner in the ECAC game at Clarkson.

2013-14: Masella played in 12 games for the Saints in his rookie season with an assist...He made his collegiate debut against Maine and earned the assist in his first collegiate game.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Masella joins the Saints from the Chiliwack Chiefs of the BCHL where he scored three goals and had eight assists for 11 points in 54 games...The team went 33-21-1 and allowed less than three goals per game in 2012-13...The son of Beny and Janet Masella, he attended Deerfield Academy and played hockey for the team which won the Deerfield Academy Cup.
