Prior to St. Lawrence
A native of Oakville, Ontario, Brown captained the Oakville Blades of the OJHL before stints with the Nanaimo Clippers in the BCHL and the Cape Breton Eagles of the QMJHL…The left-shot blueliner made Cape Breton history as the first player in team history to commit to a Division I program… Before joining the Eagles, he played for the Oakville Blades, where he was named a First Team Top Prospect and served as team captain at age 17… He also played for the Nanaimo Clippers, earning a selection to the BCHL Top Prospect Game, serving as assistant captain, and receiving votes for the All-Star Game… For his junior career, Brown tallied 53 points for the Blades, 48 points with the Clippers, and 14 for the Eagles this past season in 33 games…Academically, Brown was an Honor Roll student at Oakville Trafalgar High School… Off the ice, he volunteered with Kerr Street Mission, preparing and serving meals for those in need, and helped run tryouts for the Oakville Rangers minor hockey team.
