Biography

2015-16: Opened the scoring against RIT with his sixth career goal and earned his first assist of the year at UNH. Had a  goal and an assist in game two of the Penn State series. Scored his third of the year to ignite a four-goal second against Union. Had a power play goal in each game against Brown and Yale at home. Had six goals and eight assists to establish career highs for goals, assists and points.

2014-15: Alex played in 18 games for the Saints and had a goal and four assists. Two of his four assists came in the RPI quarterfinal sereis as he assisted on the game-winning goal each night. He had a goal and an assist in the win at Niagara and had assists in three of his last four games.

2013-14: Alex was named the Saints' most improved player after a sophomore season in which he scored four goals and had five assists, finishing at plus four in 32 games. He scored his first career goal against Northeastern and had a goal and three assists in his first five starts. He earned his first career playoff point with an assist in the Brown series.

2012-13: Alex Hagen played in 34 games for the Saints in his rookie season and scored his first collegiate point with an assist in a 5-2 win at Northeastern.

Pre-SLU: Alex Hagen joins the Saints after scoring 43 points in 57 games for the Surrey (BC) Eagles in the British Columbia Hockey League last season. The 2009 MVP at Choate Rosemary Hall, Alex scored 20 goals and had 23 assists in junior hockey last year. The son of former Saint player Kevin Hagen and his wife Caroline, Alex also played golf at Choate and intends to major in economics at St. Lawrence.
