Prior to St. Lawrence

Feeney was the captain of his high school cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams. He was the team MVP, won the Coaches Award and was a Second-Team All-County performer as a senior. He was also a member of a 4x800 relay that placed eighth at the New Jersey State Championships and competed at the Penn Relays.
