Chris Manning

Chris Manning joined the St. Lawrence University Men’s Basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2015. Manning comes to Canton from SUNY Plattsburgh where he was the starting point guard before spending a season as an assistant coach for the Cardinals.

Manning has also coached at various basketball camps and clinics including Hoop Group Elite Camp, Game 7 Camp and the Long Island Lutheran Basketball Camp.

As a player, Manning played for three different colleges with a year each at NCAA Division II Molloy and Long Island University-Post before landing at Plattsburgh for his final two seasons of college basketball.

At Molloy, he earned four East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week awards and was named to the All-ECC All-Rookie team. After a season as a reserve point guard at LIU-Post, Manning stepped in as the starting point guard for Plattsburgh earning a pair of All-SUNYAC selections and leading the country in steals per game as a junior. For his career, he scored 600 points, handed out 490 assists while grabbing 396 rebounds and 333 steals.

Manning was a standout guard for Baldwin High School leading his team to the Long Island Championship and earning the Nassau County Player of the Year award and being named to the Newsday All-Long Island team.

Manning graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Individualized Studies.
