Biography

2019-20: Hanson put up career-high numbers across the board and finished second on the team in scoring with 19 points on five goals and 14 assists, including two power-play goals…He recorded five multi-point games and had a four-game points streak from November 23 to December 7.

2018-19: Hanson played in all 37 games as a sophomore led the Saints’ defensive corps in scoring and finished third on the team overall with 17 points on four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, including a team-best 15 points in conference play…He also led the team in blocked shots with 68…He was the recipient of the team’s Peter McGeough Award as top defenseman and was a member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, as well as an AHCA Scholar All-America.

2017-2018: Hanson finished his rookie season third among Saints defensemen in scoring with 11 points on two goals and nine assists...He recorded his first career point on October 14 at North Dakota and scored his first collegiate goal the following weekend at home against Providence...He also scored to help the Saints upset then-No. 5 Wisconsin on October 28...He was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Hanson posted 38 points in 60 games played for Muskegon in 2016-17 and finished as the franchise record holder for career games played with the Lumberjacks...He also captained the team in his final season...He was named Third-Team All-USHL in 2017 and was a USHL All-Academic Team selection in 2016...Hanson was also named to the USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game in 2016...In high school he was an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society.
