St. Lawrence University Athletics

2012: Zappia played in all 10 games on the Saints' defense as a senior and served as a team captain.  He finished the season with 29 tackles including 3.5 for a loss, one recovered fumble and a blocked kick.

2011:   Zappia appeared in nine games in his junior season with the Saints where he recorded 22 tackles.  He will serve as co-captain for the upcoming 2012 season.   

2010: Zappia moved to outside linebacker in his sophomore year and saw time in all 11 games, both on defense and special teams.  The Massena, NY native made three total tackles including solo stops against Union and WPI.

2009: Zappia served as a back-up corner in his rookie season with St. Lawrence.  He is majoring in biology (Pre-Med).

At Massena
Zappia was a three-sport athlete, earning recognition for Football, Hockey and Baseball. A member of the National Honor Society, Zappia captained all three teams in his senior year and was the MVP for both football and baseball. The Massena, NY native earned All-North and First Team All-Northern Honors for his play on both the gridiron and baseball diamond as well.
