2017: Team captain … Second-Team All-Liberty League … Liberty League Co-Defensive Player of the Week on October 2 … Named one of the Saints' Co-Special Teams Players of the Week vs. Utica September 2 … Earned the Keep Swinging Award against Brockport on November 11 … Tallied a team season-high of 17 tackles against Western New England on September 30 … Had a career high in total tackles on the season with 45 … Started in all eight of his appearances on the season.

2016: Byrne ranked fifth on the team with 43 tackles and was second on the squad with 4.5 sacks. Williamson was the team's leading tackler with 92 including team bests of 53 solo and 39 assisted tackles… He was second on the team with 12-for-12 tackles for loss and led the Saints with four fumble recoveries… He was also named a member of the All-Liberty League Second Team.

2015: Byrne was a starter on the defensive line for the Saints for a majority of the season and finished with 25 tackles, 4 ½ for loss and 3 ½ sacks … He recorded a season-high 12 tackles in the win over Springfield and added three tackles with a sack against Hobart … He also had sacks against Union and Rochester and a combined sack against WPI.

2014: Byrne made his way into the lineup by the end of his first season and recorded three tackles and had a fumble recovery in the victory over Merchant Marine.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Byrne was a tri-sport athlete, playing on the football, hockey and lacrosse squads. The Buffalo, N.Y. native captained the football team and earned All-State, All-Catholic, All-Western New York honors for his play.
