Delforte played football and baseball at Canandaigua Academy. He earned First-Team All-Conference, Second-Team All-Conference, Eddie Meath All-Star team, was a two-time Section V Class A Champion, a defensive player of championship game, and a team captain. He was also a Boys State Nominee, and a member of the National Honor Society.
