Biography

2015: Simmon capped his football career at St. Lawrence with a second consecutive All-America selection winning high honors from D3football.com … He was a preseason All-America selection by D3football.com as well as Lindy’s Preseason Football magazine … Earned ECAC All-North team honors, First-team All-East Region and First-team All-Liberty League … Simmon played both offense and defense for the Saints and finished with 35 tackles (23 solo) and five for loss … Shared the team and Liberty League lead with six interceptions and also contributed four pass breakups … Offensively, he caught 25 passes for 327 yards and scored nine TDs … He also had an interception return for a TD … He scored TDs in each of the last five consecutive games including two against Springfield and Mount Union … He also had a pair of TDs against Union and added a third TD against the Dutchmen with an interception return … He had two interceptions against Union and another two against WPI and recorded a season-high seven tackles in the season-opener against Morrisville and again in the NCAA Playoff game at Mount Union.

2014: Simmon earned D3Football.com All-American honors as well as First-Team All-Region honors, First-Team All-Liberty League honors and was named the Saints Defensive Player of the Year … Simmon played on both sides of the line of scrimmage finishing third on the team with 16 receptions including five that went for touchdowns and also had five interceptions which was second on the team … His 15 passes defended (interceptions plus breakups) led the team … He finished tied for 23rd in the country with 1.5 passes defensed per game and was tied for 36th in the nation with his five interceptions (0.5 per contest) … He had a season-best two interceptions against Springfield and returned a fumble for a TD against Hobart … He had three receptions in each of the final two games of the year and had four receptions with two touchdowns in the victory over Union … He was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week after his two interception effort against Springfield.

2013: Simmon returned as a starting cornerback in his sophomore year, but was forced to miss the final three games due to injury...  In seven games, he made 24 tackles including a season-high seven in the win over Rochester...  Simmon had his lone interception of the year against Coast Guard and broke up passes against Union and Rochester.

2012: Simmon made an immediate impact in his rookie season at St. Lawrence, leading the Saints' defense with three interceptions...  He started all 10 games in the secondary and made 55 tackles, third-most on the roster, and recovered a fumble.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Simmon was a decorated student-athlete, playing football, basketball and lacrosse.  The recipient of the football team's Sportsmanship Award, he was a two-time All-State selection for basketball.  Simmon, the basketball team's MVP and winner of the Coaches Award, was added to the school's Wall of Fame.
