Prior to St. Lawrence

Felix played high school football through a merger agreement at St. Lawrence Central. He was a First-Team All-North selection as a senior, and also earned First-Team All-North and Section 10 Sportsmanship Award honors for St. Lawrence Central in hockey as a senior. He helped lead his hockey team to three straight Section 10 titles, and also played baseball and soccer for Parishville-Hopkinton. Felix also excelled in the classroom; he was a four-year Academic All-Northern honoree, a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student. He also won his school's Community Service Award as a senior, thanks to volunteer work with the Color Me Blue Autism Run/Walk, the Edward I. Moses Run/Walk for Life and the Relay for Life.
