New York: Section III (South), Section IV; Eastern Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida
Keith Bruno joined the St. Lawrence football coaching staff in August, 2017, as the recruiting coordinator/defensive backs coach, and was promoted to defensive coordinator in early 2018.
Under Bruno's leadership in 2017, the Saints ranked second in the Liberty League in passing yards allowed per game with just 171.0 and red zone defense, allowing opponents to score on just 35.3% of their trips inside the 20-yard line.
Prior to coming to St. Lawrence, Bruno spent two and a half years at Albright College where he helped lead the Lions to an 18-5 record over two seasons, including a Middle Atlantic Conference title and a win in the first round of the NCAA tournament in 2015.
In 2016, Bruno was the special teams coordinator at Albright and helped the Lions lead the MAC in net kickoff coverage, field goals, special teams touchdowns and converted fakes. He also coached the team's safeties in 2016 and coached cornerbacks in 2015. Over those two seasons, Albright allowed just 191 passing yards per game and 25 passing touchdowns in 23 games.
In addition to his experience on the sidelines, Bruno was the assistant recruiting coordinator for the Lions in 2015 and also gained valuable off-the-field experience as an academic coach and a fundraising coordinator.
Prior to his stint at Albright, Bruno was a graduate assistant coach at McDaniel College, working with defensive backs. He also served as the team's academic coordinator and assistant recruiting coordinator.
Bruno played football at Albright and graduated in 2012. He was a two-year starter and the team's signal caller in the secondary. After graduating, he spent two years as the linebacker coach at Brick Township Memorial High School in New Jersey.
