St. Lawrence University Athletics

John Muldowney joined the St. Lawrence University football coaching staff as a volunteer in the summer of 2011.

Coach Muldowney served as the defensive backs coach for the 2015 season. The defensive backs featured All-Liberty League selections in Leondre Simmon (First-Team), James Holley-Grisham (First-Team) and Isreal Squires (Honorable Mention).

He is a 1981 graduate of Princeton University, where he played defensive back for the Tigers. He coached football for 16 years at Saranac Lake High School, where he worked with quarterbacks, receivers and defensive backs.

Muldowney is also a graduate of Albany Law School and is a practicing trial attorney and managing partner of Fischer, Bessette, Muldowney & Hunter, LLP. John and his wife, Sally, reside in Saranac Lake and have four children.
