Daniel Higgins, a four-year varsity letter winner from Ithaca College, joined the Saints football staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2012.  He will work primarily with the running backs.

He served as the assistant offensive line coach in the fall of 2011 at his alma mater prior to coming to St. Lawrence.   A two-time first-team Empire 8 all-star, he played in 40 games over his collegiate career, catching 57 passes for 661 yards and 14 touchdowns. 

As an undergraduate, Higgins was an active volunteer, helping with both the Greece Chargers and Greece Olympia Football programs and also the local youth football programs in Ithaca, NY.   A native of Rochester, NY, Daniel graduated in 2012 with a degree in biology.
