Munn was a three-sport athlete in football, hockey, and baseball at Saranac Lake High School. Munn captained the football team in his junior and senior years and captained the hockey team his senior year. Munn earned First-Team All-League in football and earned All-League All-Star in hockey as a senior. He was also an honor roll student
