Ricca played football and baseball at North Reading. He captained both teams, won the MIAA football state championship in 2022 and the MIAA baseball championship in 2025. He was a two-time First-Team All-Star in both football and baseball and earned Second-Team honors in baseball. Ricca was a four-year honor roll student.
