St. Lawrence University Athletics

2016: Dietsch finished the season with 73 tackles including 37 solo, 10.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also intercepted three passes and broke up three passes as well… He was named Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week on October 10^th… He also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors and was named a member of D3football.com’s All-East Region Third Team, All-Liberty League First Team, ECAC All-North Region Second Team and the Liberty League All-Academic Team… He was named the Outstanding Male Senior Scholar Athlete at the end of the year banquet.

2015: Dietsch was the top linebacker for the Saints in the first eight games of the season before being lost for the remainder of the year with an injury … He finished the season with 59 tackles including 27 solo stops, 11 for loss and 3 ½ sacks … He also had four interceptions with one returned for a TD, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery … He earned First-Team All-Liberty League honors on defense and was the Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week for October 5 … He also earned St. Lawrence Star of the Week honors for October 5 and was a member of the Liberty League All-Academic team for the second straight season … He recorded a season-best 11 tackles in the opener against Morrisville and had at least eight tackles in five other games … He had an interception against Endicott and then picked off two passes in the win over Rochester and also had two sacks against the Yellowjackets … He was named the St. Lawrence Defensive Player of the Game twice and earned Special Teams Player of the week twice including once with the entire punt return unit.

2014: Dietsch led the Saints defense with 73 tackles, 49 solo stops and 29 assisted tackles and earned First-Team All-Liberty League honors as a sophomore linebacker … He was also third on the team in tackles for loss with 8.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage for a total loss of 26 yards … He added two pass breakups, a sack and an interception … He recorded 10 tackles in three different games and had a season-best 14 stops against Hobart … His sack came against Union and his interception was against Morrisville … He earned recognition as a member of the Liberty League All-Academic team for both football and men’s lacrosse.

2013: Dietsch had one of the best rookie seasons in St. Lawrence history as he was named both the Liberty League and ECAC Rookie of the Year...  A Second Team All-Conference choice, he was fourth in the league in tackles (81) and was a two-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week selection...  Dietsch, who also plays on the men's lacrosse team, added 8.0 tackles for a loss as well as three interceptions.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Dietsch captained both the football and lacrosse teams.  An All-Western New York linebacker as a junior and senior, he won the 2011 Underclassman of the Year Award and scored an invite to the Kensington Lions Senior All-Star game.
