Prior to St. Lawrence

Melissa played field hockey, basketball and softball at Barker Central School and was a First-Team All-League selection in 2013 and 2014 and earned First Team All-Western New York and All-State as a senior. She was MVP of her team, PAL Prep Female Athlete of the Year and Section 6 Female Athlete of the Year. She was secretary of the National Honor Society, All Western New York Academic Team, honor roll and graduated third in her class.
