Prior to St. Lawrence

Thompson was both captain and MVP of her high school field hockey team as a senior in 2016…That season she was named Washington Post All-Met, All-Loudoun County, First-Team All-Conference (Virginia High School League Conference 21), First-Team All-Region (Virginia High School League 4A West) and Second-Team All-State (Virginia High School League 4A)…She was also a member of the National Honor Society and World Language and Cultures Honor Society, as well as a Policy Debate Team Metro finalist.
