St. Lawrence University Athletics

Taylor Silvestro, a 2012 America East All Conference team member and a two-time captain for the University of Vermont, has joined the Saint staff as assistant field hockey coach.
A native of Walpole, MA., Taylor was a standout both in the classroom and on the field, earning NFHCA National Academic honors as well as America East All Academic. She was a member of the America East All Rookie Team in 2009 and did not miss a game following her freshman season. She finished her career with 12 goals and three assists in 49 appearances and had 38 starts.  She tied for the team lead in goals and was second in overall points as a sophomore with a seven-goal season.
She was the winner of the prestigious Semans Trophy in 2013, awarded to the UVM senior who has demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and shown leadership, loyalty and service to the university. She was SAAC vice president and active in community service programs while at Vermont.
