Josh Lanza joined St. Lawrence University's as the Saints Esports Coordinator in July 2021.
Lanza comes to St. Lawrence after serving as the esports program advisor at Herkimer Community College since 2018. He was the vice president of Herkimer's Gaming Club as a student from 2010-12, has more than 15 years of competitive experience playing Super Smash Bros., and has logged more than 750 hours of competitive Overwatch play in the last three years.
In addition to his work with the Herkimer esports program, Lanza served as a technical assistant in the academic support center and was an adjunct professor of music appreciation.
Lanza, who earned his associates degree in music industry from Herkimer in 2012 and his bachelors in English from Utica College in 2016, earned a master's in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire.
