Prior to St. Lawrence

Basse started his collegiate career at Colorado College where he played 2262 minutes across 43 games with a 3.21 goals against average and a .891 save percentage...While with Colorado, Basse played twice in Appleton Arena against St. Lawrence and made 39 saves... The netminder transferred to St. Cloud State University where he played the last two seasons...He also played 43 games for the Huskies and posted a 2.55 goals against average, a .903 save percentage, and a 23-14-4 record with six shutouts... Before college, Basse was drafted 167^th overall in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft to the Chicago Blackhawks after playing 37 games with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL.
