Taber Engelken

Taber Engelken, a 2017 St. Lawrence graduate, has been added to the Alpine skiing staff for the 2018 season. Engelken will serve as the assistant coach for the Saints under the direction of head coach Willi Steinrotter.

The Shelburne, Vermont native was a four-year member and team captain for the Saints. Engelken posted several top-20 EISA finishes throughout his collegiate career, including a career-best finish of 13th in the giant slalom at the UVM Carnival his sophomore season.

Engelken graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in philosophy and business in the liberal arts. He was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and achieved Dean's List honors. He was awarded the team's Frits H. Sample Memorial Award his senior year.

In addition, Engelken coached at both Fun in the Sun Lacrosse and Mt. Hood Summer Ski camps for multiple years.
